I prefer shimano over time for mtb but if I was to ride mtb pedals on the road I would go with time because you dont need to tighten them to be secure, no undesired unclipping risk. Shimano edge time for fast clipping which is why I prefer them for offroad racing.

As an added bonus, rim brakes will auto-tell you when your rear wheel needs tightening, as with loose spokes the rim will hit the pads when sprinting out of the saddle and you'll hear it. But both systems are cool - I ignore nagging disc brakes like nagging girlfriends - and eventually they shut up on their own. Jokes aside, riding and braking in foul weather will make the squealing go away as the rotor and pads will get scratched with dirt and any oil residue will get discarded as one loses pad and brake rotor surface.

Most of my roads are chipseal or gravel, so I'm running 26x2.0 slicks. I once had 40 flats in 40 miles of loaded touring where I had to ride on the rock and glass-strewn shoulder of a highway. I was on 23mm racing slicks with 70 pounds of gear on the rear rack. After that tour, I went back to a 90s era mtb with slicks and I never looked back. I've had three or four flats in the last 7 years. Heavy loads and/or bad roads call for 2 inch wide tires.

I like to use the heel on pedal test and then go a smidge lower with the saddle. Slightly too low is better than slightly too high, in my experience. And, yep, my dogs steal all my stuff and bury it in the yard.

Hello everyone, I still have my Allez Sprint Comp that I bought new in 2017. For me, it's a great bike. I participate in group rides on weekends and can keep up with the pack. Many times, I finish the training session ahead of bikes that are all carbon fiber. I think whether the bike is a few grams lighter or heavier doesn't make much difference. That's why I find it more interesting to focus on training rather than just swapping bikes because of a difference of 200 or 300 grams most of the time. I'm going to stick with my "Super Allez Sprint". The only thing I'd like to change on my Allez would be to swap out the current Mavic Cosmic Elite wheels for some 50mm carbon wheels and an aero handlebar-not because they're carbon, but because they would make the bike more racing. Check out Infinity seats..... I have one on my road and my gravel bikes. I put about 7000 miles a year on these two saddles. Ultimate comfort.

It’s for dwarves in its biggest size. The smallest foot and a narrowest tire overlap in the biggest size. So small frame built with a simple technique fair price is about $500. When it’s over $1k then it’s rather a scam (or all extra money went to youtubers, considering hundreds of “reviews”)

Im no biker, but as a consumer in general, transparency is a big factor for me. If im told one thing about something, then find out (on my own or through others) that its something different, it pushes me away from that particular brand on everything they build. If its made a certain way, at least be honest and up front about it.
